Helen Obiageli Oshikoya is the founder / CEO of Nobelova Gradani PsychoEducational Services. She is a lawyer by profession and holds a Master’s Degree in Social Science from the United Kingdom with specialty in child development, learning assessments, mental health and other areas of social sciences.
Mental wellbeing is a vital part of a child’s development yet it is an area that has been neglected by the society at large. Nobelova Gradani is set up to champion the advancement of the physical and psychological wellbeing of the Nigerian Child.
Helen’s child healthcare initiative started in September 2012 and to date she has screened over 7000 children in Nigerian schools and hospitals, whereby she has been able to detected children that would benefit from early intervention services.
With a wealth of experience in children’s rights, she has been the foremost advocate for the campaign that “Every child has a right to be educated regardless of their educational needs/challenges”. She has organized seminars and trainings to advocate early detection and early intervention of developmental disorder.
Helen is a member of the Chartered Institute of Educational Assessors UK, Nigerian Psychological Association, British Psychological Society and the American Psychological Association. She’s also a Certified Autism Specialist and is also a Certified Training Partner of The International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards United States (IBCCES). She currently has 30 schools under her School Health Programme; she conducts developmental screening in 4 hospitals and provides Learning Support to 6 schools. As a Specialist Assessors she performs both clinical & educational assessments for Examination Access Arrangements for children with disabilities. Helen also provides mental health psychometric tests for private and government establishments.
